I’m Amy Hoogerbrugge, and I am married to my wonderful husband Erik, and we have two beautiful children, Cayden and Averianna. We live on a dairy farm in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.
I am a photography enthusiast who loves capturing the magic of childhood. I love using photography as a way to see through the eyes of my children. Initially, I learned the basics of photography in high school on a film SLR camera, but struggled with finding inspiration to shoot regularly. However, when my kids were born I was flooded with the desire to relearn photography again so I could document our days in a beautiful way.
I also am a registered yoga teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance. I completed my 200-hour teacher training through Yoga Medicine in December 2018. Yoga became a part of my life around the same time photography did — after the birth of my first child. However, it wasn’t until 2017 that I embraced a consistent yoga practice and really started seeing the positive impacts it was making on my life, much beyond just the physical benefits. Yoga has changed my life in more ways that I can list here, but I hope to be able to give you a bit of a glimpse into the impact it has had on my life in this little space!
